Ingredients required

  • 1 medium-sized cucumber

  • 2 cups plain yogurt/greek yogurt

  • 2 tsp cumin seeds

  • ½ tsp of black salt

  • 1 tsp of rock salt

  • ¼ tsp of black pepper

  • 2 tbsp fresh mint leaves

Preparation Method

  1. Start with peeling the cucumber and removing seeds as seeds. Rinse it with water and dice it into small pieces or grate it with a grater. Now keep it aside. On the other side, beat the yogurt into a bowl using a whisk if you’re not using greek yogurt.

  1. The next thing you have to do is in a pan, drop the cumin seeds and stir for 1 minute on a low flame. As the seeds start changing color and turn aromatic, turn off the flame. Now, make a coarse powder of cumin seeds using a hand grinder or grinding stone.

  1. Take the bowl of yogurt and add black salt, black pepper, and rock salt with the roasted cumin powder we have prepared. Also, add the diced or grated cucumber into it with some freshly chopped mint leaves.

  1. Mix well all the ingredients together in yogurt and serve by topping off a few mint leaves. You can also chill it in the refrigerator before serving.
