Easy Indian Recipes To Cook With 3 Key Ingredients.

The pandemic has given rise to work from home which led people to over-munching on snacks several times during the day. But overindulging in snacking during this time when we have to be a bit more conscious about our health can be too risky. On the other hand, people avoid cooking time-consuming dishes and dishes that require so many ingredients.

We understand the efforts that go into a dish to prepare and so we bring you the easy Indian recipes that can be cooked with 3 key ingredients. Here they are!

Stuffed Paratha

Stuffed paratha is a type of flatbread that you can cook by kneading the dough of wheat flour with water and salt. You can prepare the stuffing with any vegetable you like and grate it to prepare the filling by adding salt and pepper to taste. Indians cook parathas either round or triangular using a rolling pin and then cook it on both sides on the hot skillet. It is best enjoyed hot with pickles and curd.

Gajar Ka Halwa

The winter delicacy, Gajar ka halwa, is made with grated carrots, sugar and milk solids. You cook carrots on medium flame until the carrots dry out and add sugar and milk solids to add flavor and richness. This dish is preferably cooked in pure ghee at Indian Grill, but you can use coconut oil, olive oil, or almond oil alternatively. Don’t forget to garnish with chopped dried nuts before you serve hot.

Moong Dal Chilla (Crepe)

This dish is often eaten as a breakfast or evening snack. You can use soaked and ground Moong Dal (split and skinned green gram) and add chopped onions and tomatoes with basic spices like black pepper and salt. Add some water to the batter and make it a bit watery. On a pan, pour some batter and make a crepe, spreading the batter in a circular direction. Cook on both sides and serve hot with mint sauce.

Kheer (Rice pudding)

You only need ingredients that you already have in your pantry to prepare this sweet dish. Boil 2-3 pints of milk in a pot and add ¼ cup of soaked rice to it. Let the rice cook in milk on low flame and wait until the milk reduces to half. Add ½ cup of sugar and let it cook for a few more minutes. Keep stirring it throughout to avoid burning rice and serve hot with a sprinkle of mixed dried nuts.

Dosa

Dosa is a South-Indian crepe that is made with rice and urad dal (split and skinned black gram). Either you soak these two and then grind them to make a paste or grind them first and then make a batter. Add some salt and spices you like and mix well.

On a skillet, pour some batter and make a round crepe spreading it in a circular motion. The dosa is ready, serve it with any sauce of your choice.
